Locks Heath Looking Good!

Blog update

With a large area of scaffolding now struck at our Locks Heath Free Church site the true beauty of the new building is visible for the first time.

The curved and tinted structural glazing system being installed to the ground floor café area makes a great statement as you enter the site.

Not as visible (but equally as important), the huge air handling units for the ventilation of the main sanctuary hall have now been installed behind the building. Inside the sanctuary the ventilation duct work that sends the air to the handling units is a work of art in itself. It almost seems a shame that it will be painted black when it’s complete!

Unlike the sanctuary hall the activity hall ceiling is being sprayed white. The first coat had just been completed when the Blogging Team arrived.

Elsewhere on site ground workers are now well underway with the overflow car park. Their progress has certainly been helped by the recent spell of dry weather.
