Nick and his construction mentor

Many people can attribute an individual who inspired their choice of career or profession. Nick Moses from Lee on Solent is a good example as a friend of his father inspired him to consider working within the conduction industry.  Now, after 12 years building his experience with other main contractors, Nick joins Fareham-based Amiri Construction as Senior Site Manager where Mark Vincent, the family friend, is a Director.

“Mark encouraged me to get some work experience with his former employer whilst I was a teenager at school and from then I knew the construction industry was interesting as a career.  I’m delighted that the Amiri team have appointed me to manage some of their key construction sites in the region.” said Nick.

The first project Nick has been involved with at Amiri is a £6.7 million new head office building at the University of Southampton Science Park, Chilworth.  Amiri Director Mark Vincent said that he has been impressed with Nick’s career progression since the work experience days: “Nick has proved that he has what it takes to obtain the four key prerequisites for our projects which are On-time, on-budget, Considerate and Safe.”

Founded in 2005, the £40 million turnover Amiri Construction employs a team of 43.  This includes the recently formed Special Works and an established Interiors Division.

Mark Vincent Head of Sales and Marketing

The driving force behind business development at Amiri Construction for most of it’s life, Mark is a building surveyor by background, who has spent time working on site as well as in pre-construction and as a sub-contractor so understands the whole-life approach to project development.
