At the Races!

Blog update

It’s difficult to avoid the wind and rain at the moment but somehow the Blogging Team managed to miss the wild weather at Newbury Racecourse recently.

With the complicated demolition process complete Senior Site Manager Ian Johnson commented that it is great to be putting the Royal Box back together at last rather than taking it apart!

Externally construction of the new step terrace leading to the front of the box is underway. Work on the new brick slip facade to the large sidewall of the Members Club is ongoing and looks superb.

Internally the Whiterock hygienic wall cladding is now installed throughout the kitchen and plumbing and 1stFix is complete. Work on the ventilation system has also begun.

Inside the Royal box itself all the old wallpaper has been stripped and the plaster chased for installation of the new electrical and data equipment.
