Amiri Construction promotion
Press release
Dave Gee, who played an important role in the creation of Fareham-based Amiri Construction when it was launched in 2005, has been promoted from Contracts Manager to Construction Manager. Amiri Director Mark Vincent said that the new management role is important and significant as there are as many as 16 projects on site at any one time with the company reaching a turnover excess of £40 million. This has been aided by the expansion of their two divisions, Special Works and Interiors in recent years.
“Dave epitomises the Amiri culture and so we are delighted that he will manage the client liaison and oversee all production for each project. Each project has four key prerequisites being On-time; On-budget; Considerate and Safe. We go out of our way to make what can be an invasive task more involving for our clients and go that bit extra to involve the local community, including schools.” said Mark Vincent.
Current projects within the Construction Manager’s remit include a new crematorium in Charlton, a £3.5 million office building for BizSpace (UK) Ltd, a £3.9 million Extension to the Locks Heath Free Church, a £6.7 million project for Promega UK site at the Southampton Science Park and the £9 million Brockhurst Gate Retail Park in Gosport.
Dave, from Eling, Southampton, said his earliest paid role in building was with his father’s West London building company where he recalls helping on building sites at the age of 7, having been tasked with the painting of radiators. When not working he is on his power cruiser and is a power boat enthusiast.
