Jon Daines

Managing Director of Amiri Construction

Jon joined Amiri in 2020 to lead the Bournemouth office and after successfully growing the team and operations there, was quickly promoted to Managing Director of the Construction business.

With over 30 years’ experience across the industry – particularly in commercial and education projects – Jon began his career in architecture before moving into construction management. He has held roles including Site Manager, Contracts Manager, Estimator and Operations Manager, giving him a thorough understanding of the entire project lifecycle and the challenges faced by clients, consultants and delivery teams.

As Managing Director, Jon guides the strategic direction, operational performance and long-term growth of Amiri Construction. He ensures that every project reflects the company’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction, while working closely with regional teams to maintain consistent standards, drive innovation and strengthen the collaborative culture that defines The Amiri Way.

Jon leads The Amiri Way with a focus on collaboration, integrity and a passion for excellence. He is also dedicated to developing talent within the business, helping Amiri build a skilled, motivated and future-ready workforce.

Outside of Amiri, Jon serves as a Director of Shared Apprenticeships South West, supporting employers who wish to nurture new talent but are unable to offer a full-term apprenticeship. Married with three children – two of whom also work in construction – he enjoys watching football and spending time with his granddaughters.
