Project Overview
The design and construction of a new two-storey headquarters for CTS Europe in Portsmouth.
The facility provides a workshop, assembly and storage space, offices, training areas, and laboratory facilities, with a total floor area of approximately 1,400m².
The building also features a roof terrace and external yard areas that accommodate car parking and a loading bay, ensuring functionality and operational efficiency. The facility’s distinctive cladding and elevated position on Portsdown Hill maximise views over Portsmouth, giving the HQ a striking and highly visible presence.
The project was delivered as a fully integrated solution, combining innovative design with high-quality construction to meet CTS Europe’s operational and aesthetic requirements.

Key Challenges & Solutions
Maximising Functionality on a Complex Site: The elevated site on Portsdown Hill presented challenges for access, logistics and construction sequencing.
Amiri developed a detailed site management plan to coordinate deliveries, materials handling, and construction access, ensuring smooth operations while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Integrating Multiple Facility Types: The building required a combination of workshops, laboratories, offices and training spaces within a single footprint.
The design and construction teams worked closely with CTS Europe to optimise internal layouts, allowing clear operational flow between different areas while maintaining flexibility for future use.
Maintaining Design Quality and Views: The client required a distinctive, high-quality building that maximised views without compromising functionality.
Amiri incorporated unique cladding and roof terrace design elements to create an iconic and practical structure, ensuring the elevated position enhanced the building’s aesthetic and user experience.

Project Outcomes
The completed CTS HQ provides a modern, flexible working environment that meets the company’s current and future operational needs.
The facility combines workshop and laboratory capabilities with administrative and training spaces, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. The external areas provide practical and safe access for staff and deliveries, while the roof terrace adds value to the working environment.
The project successfully delivered a high-quality, functional and visually striking building, creating a landmark HQ that enhances the company’s brand presence and supports its business growth.
