Our ESG
Commitment.
At Amiri, our commitment to ESG is deeply embedded in The Amiri Way; our ethos of delivering projects with integrity, care and lasting value for the communities we serve.
Environmental, Social & Governance
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles guide many of the decisions we make, shaping how we design, build and operate as a responsible construction partner.
We believe that delivering high-quality developments goes hand in hand with protecting the environment, supporting local communities and upholding the highest standards of governance.
Through this commitment, our projects achieve not only exceptional built outcomes, but also positive, lasting impacts for people, places and the future.

Environmental
Building Sustainably, Reducing Our Impact
From an environmental perspective, we recognise the significant impact of the construction industry and our responsibility to safeguard the communities and environments in which we operate. Sustainability is embedded throughout our delivery approach. Working collaboratively with clients and design teams from the outset, we reduce waste, maximise material reuse, and refine designs to minimise environmental impact. We prioritise circular economy principles across all projects, promoting material reuse, responsible disposal and full compliance with environmental legislation and best practice standards.
Partnerships that create both environmental and social value are central to our approach. We collaborate with Community Wood Recycling to divert waste timber from landfill, repurposing it through workshops that support vulnerable individuals and those experiencing mental health challenges, helping them develop skills and reintegrate into society.
Throughout delivery, we implement sustainable construction practices at every stage, including reducing waste at source, specifying responsibly sourced materials, and working exclusively with accredited supply chain partners, including SMAS-approved contractors, to uphold high environmental standards. Our design strategies incorporate energy-efficient systems, enhanced insulation and low-carbon materials, often exceeding regulatory requirements to reduce long-term environmental impact.
We are committed to measurable carbon reduction and progressing towards carbon neutrality through our Carbon Reduction Plan. We partner with The Green Organisation, along with Ecology which support verified global initiatives such as tree planting, ocean clean-up, wetland restoration and sustainable raw material projects.
Performance monitoring underpins our strategy. We review energy consumption year-on-year, setting clear objectives and KPIs to drive continuous improvement across Amiri. In addition, we are investing in renewable technologies, including solar-powered site offices and generators, reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources and lowering operational emissions.
Social
Connecting with Communities
Social responsibility is part of The Amiri Way. It shapes how we build, collaborate and contribute to the communities where we work. For us, meaningful impact comes from consistent, long-term engagement that strengthens communities and creates shared value. We maintain an open, transparent approach with our neighbours, creating opportunities for dialogue throughout our projects. From hosting community events – such as our tea and cake afternoon at Sherborne School – to welcoming residents to learn about our work, we prioritise trust, accessibility and positive relationships.
Inspiring the next generation is central to our commitment. We support schools and colleges through engagement programmes, work placements and apprenticeships that provide insight into construction careers. At our Moore Close development in New Milton, we worked closely with the community to create on-site employment opportunities and welcomed students from Brockenhurst College for hands-on experience, helping build skills, confidence and ambition.
Strong local supply chains are vital to delivering lasting social value. By partnering with local suppliers, we support the economy and foster shared pride in creating high-quality buildings. Our annual supply chain event strengthens these relationships through collaboration, shared learning and improvement.
Caring for our people is equally important. Alongside a strong health and safety culture, we prioritise wellbeing across the business. We offer a confidential mental health support email, lets-talk@amirigroup.co.uk, providing a safe space for those who need support, handled discreetly by trained Mental Health First Aiders.
We uphold robust health and safety standards that protect our workforce, partners and the public. Whether working in hospital environments or residential areas, we plan and deliver with careful consideration for safety and minimal disruption. At its core, our social commitment is about people – nurturing talent, strengthening partnerships and leaving every community better than we found it.

ESG Support
As an established Main Contractor we make sure that we are fully compliant and leading the way when it comes to doing the right thing and benchmarking ourselves with our peer group.
The Blog Team.

Since August 2015, we have been working with Ben Small and Chris Lewis, known affectionately as “The Blogging Team,” as an integral part of our Marketing and Business Development supply chain. They collaborate closely with our Site Management teams on selected projects, digitally cataloguing progress and sharing insights and technical information across our social media platforms.
Ben and Chris first came to our attention when they were appointed by Andover College to document the construction of the new Skills Centre in 2015/16. Their passion, dedication, and professionalism quickly impressed the Project Manager. They demonstrated a genuine desire to understand the construction process, capturing not only design details but also the social interactions and human stories that unfold on a project. As the scheme progressed, it became clear that their skills could be used to document other projects across our portfolio.
Ben was born with a rare congenital condition called Septo-Optic Dysplasia, which gives him mild learning difficulties. Determined not to let this define him, he attended a Special School, where he first met Chris, who was one of his teachers. Ben went on to excel in Media and Business Studies at local further education colleges.
After Chris retired from teaching and Ben completed his studies, the pair were reunited through the Surrey Independent Living Council, with Chris becoming Ben’s ‘Buddy.’ Together, they have developed into a formidable photography and digital media team, working on projects for organisations across Surrey and Hampshire.
Today, Ben and Chris are an established and beloved part of the Amiri family, and we are proud to call them our Blogging Team!
