Work Experience

For the next two weeks we have Rob Matthews from Procom Construction Consultants working with us, Rob is in the final year of his Quantity Surveying degree at the University of Portsmouth where he is learning alongside our very own Hannah Myers. To have knowledge across all areas of Construction is important to all disciplines, It helps gather a wider knowledge of how the whole process works from feasibility of a project, all the way to project completion. Indeed Amiri Construction Management Trainee, Dan Warren has spent time with external consultants as part of his development so it was natural to offer the same opportunity to Rob. This week Rob is based on our Patey Court site with Senior Surveyor Mark Harrison. As well as seeing this residential project with Portsmouth City Council first hand, he will be attending design team meetings for a retail project in Alton and an industrial scheme in Ringwood. Next week he will be working alongside Adam Griffiths at Sherborne School. Procom have offices in Wokingham and Birmingham and provide construction procurement, commercial and project management and forensic cost auditing to clients.
