The Murray Parish Trust is named Amiri Construction’s Charity of the Year 2019

In 2019 Amiri Construction wanted to bring a focus to their charitable support by dedicating their time, energy and full support to one local charity that delivers results in the local community for local people.

Having asked staff for their choice of Charity for Amiri Construction’s inaugural Charity of the Year, and after much consideration, The Murray Parish Trust has been chosen.

The Murray Parish Trust has been working since 2014 to ensure the best medical care for children.

In 2014 local actors Sarah Parish and James Murray founded The Murray Parish Trust in memory of their daughter Ella-Jayne who died at eight-months old from congenital heart disease. The Charity is dedicated to the advancement of paediatric emergency medicine across the South of England and ensures that children affected by major trauma can receive the best emergency care as close to home as possible.

In the mid-term, their aim is to better equip University Hospital Southampton, a nationally recognised centre of excellence. In addition to their focus on treating children, they will also be investing in ground breaking research into childhood illness, pioneering equipment and the development of specialist training programmes.

Amiri Construction place great importance on our Corporate Social Responsibility. They have supported local charities through various fundraising activities over the years, most notably on a Dragon Boat Race for The Aldingbourne Trust and cake sales for MacMillan Cancer Support and the Alzheimer's Society.  One of the Directors even ran the London Marathon for Young Minds and the Turner Syndrome Support Society.

Mark Vincent, Amiri Director said “We are looking forward to the challenge of raising as much money as we can, as well as raising the profile of The Murray Parish Trust, a local and proactive charity dedicated to helping young children affected by major trauma”.

The Amiri team already have a long list of fundraising activities scheduled to raise funds and awareness for The Murray Parish Trust.
