Piling at Petersfield!

Blog update

The Blogging Team were very excited about their first visit to the new Amiri car storage facility project in Petersfield. On arrival the site was an absolute hive of activity with groundworks well underway. The adjacent landowners have been very helpful in allowing us to utilise the land to create a safe access/egress route to this busy service area.

On site the reduce level excavations and pile matt are now complete, allowing the large rig to work safely. The secant piling retaining wall (450mm piles) has been successfully installed, with the main buildings structural piles to follow (300mm).

The excavations for the pads and ground beams are due to commence shortly and the main foundations will then start to become visible. We are all hoping for a dry and sunny autumn as the project started 3 months later than intended due to legal and planning conditions.

Behind the scenes design development is progressing well on the steel frame, concrete flooring, roofing and cladding.
